Karen Leitner MD

About Karen Leitner MD

Karen knows firsthand how heavy the demands of medicine can feel - and how easy it is for women physicians to blame themselves when the weight becomes too much. As a former primary care doctor, she tried everything from therapy to fitness programs to creative outlets, only to discover that the problem wasn’t her effort - it was the impossible expectations placed on her.

Everything shifted when Karen found coaching. The tools she learned helped her feel grounded, confident, and back in control of her life. Inspired by the transformation, she became a certified coach and launched her own practice to support other women physicians seeking the same relief and clarity.

Since 2020, Karen has coached hundreds of women doctors, helping them set boundaries, quiet guilt, and reconnect with themselves beyond their roles in medicine. Her approach is evidence-based, practical, and deeply compassionate - designed for women who are already carrying too much. Beyond her work with clients, she also donates a portion of her income to the Lorna Breen Foundation, extending her commitment to physician well-being.

At the heart of Karen’s mission is a simple but powerful belief: women in medicine don’t need to work harder to feel better - they just need the right tools and a safe place to start.

About The Business and Operations of How to Feel Better for Women Physicians

This accredited 8-week virtual program is designed specifically for women physicians who are holding it all together but feel stretched to their breaking point. Led by certified coach and former physician Karen, the program offers evidence-based, practical coaching tools that help women create boundaries, manage overwhelm, and reconnect with the parts of life that matter most - without needing to change jobs or completely reinvent themselves.

What makes this program unique is its blend of CME-accredited education, live coaching, and a supportive community of women physicians who truly understand the challenges of balancing medicine, family, and personal well-being. Nearly 500 women have already experienced the transformation of moving from exhaustion and guilt to confidence and clarity.

Participants leave with tools that lighten the load of daily life, restore energy, and make space for joy - whether that means finishing charts on time, protecting family moments, or simply breathing a little easier.

At its core, this program is about giving women physicians their lives back. In an inclusive and empowering environment, every participant is supported not just as a doctor, but as a whole person who deserves rest, fulfillment, and the chance to thrive.

How Pinnacle Supported Karen Leitner MD Through Joint Providership

Learn at Pinnacle partnered with Karen Leitner MD to bring her program to learners with full CME credit, guiding the entire accreditation process from start to finish. Using our joint providership model, we ensured the content met all accrediting body requirements, including ACCME standards for physicians, while overseeing compliance, disclosure management, and commercial support standards.

Our team handled every administrative and regulatory detail—reviewing content for bias, managing conflict-of-interest forms, creating the Activity Detail Page, submitting accreditation paperwork, generating certificates, and reporting outcomes to accrediting bodies. We also provided post-activity evaluation analysis to support continuous improvement.

By managing the full compliance framework, Learn at Pinnacle allowed Karen Leitner MD to focus entirely on delivering impactful, evidence-based education to women physicians, while learners received the CE/CME credit they earned. This partnership model is faster, more flexible, and significantly less resource-intensive than pursuing accreditation independently, making it an ideal solution for innovative programs seeking high-quality, accredited learning experiences.
