Dr. Stephanie Gustin, an OB-GYN and infertility specialist, discusses her advocacy efforts post-Dobbs decision to protect reproductive and infertility care. She co-founded a political action committee in Nebraska, which mobilized 1,500 members and prevented a special legislative session. She also formed, along with other fertility specialists, Doctors for Fertility to support national and state-level advocacy. Despite a 6-week abortion ban being defeated, Dr. Gustin emphasizes the need for continued action, including fundraising, grassroots organizing, and supporting pro-reproductive care candidates. She urges healthcare professionals to engage actively in policy to safeguard reproductive rights nationwide.
