The Progressive Women's Health Academy

About The Progressive Women's Health Academy

The Progressive Women’s Health Academy was founded by Jennifer Wagner, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to help clinicians provide more confident, timely, and informed care for midlife and aging women.

After more than two decades in nursing and advanced practice, Wagner transitioned from acute care into urogynecology and quickly saw how often women with conditions such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic floor disorders, and genitourinary symptoms struggled to access knowledgeable care. She also experienced firsthand how difficult it could be for clinicians to find practical education that translated directly into everyday practice.

That experience became the foundation for the Academy. Its mission is to equip healthcare professionals with evidence-based education, clinical frameworks, and practical tools that strengthen assessment, treatment, and patient communication across women’s health.

At the heart of the Academy is a commitment to helping clinicians recognize conditions that are too often dismissed as a normal part of aging and to expand access to compassionate, high-quality care. By strengthening clinician knowledge and confidence, The Progressive Women’s Health Academy works to help more women receive the care they need earlier and closer to home.

About The Progressive Women’s Health Academy Courses

The Progressive Women’s Health Academy offers accredited continuing education designed to help physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians strengthen their skills in caring for midlife and aging women.

Its educational programs focus on practical, evidence-based management of commonly underdiagnosed and undertreated conditions, including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic floor disorders, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Courses are structured to translate current clinical guidance into assessment strategies, treatment frameworks, and patient-care approaches that can be used in everyday practice.

What makes the Academy’s accredited education especially impactful is its emphasis on closing real-world gaps in women’s healthcare. The content is designed not only to build knowledge, but also to increase clinicians’ confidence in recognizing symptoms, initiating appropriate treatment, and knowing when specialty referral is needed.

By combining accessible continuing education with practical clinical tools, The Progressive Women’s Health Academy helps healthcare professionals expand their capabilities while supporting earlier intervention, more personalized care, and better outcomes for midlife and aging women.
