About the Level Set Domestic Violence Prevention for Healthcare Program

Level Set® Domestic Violence Prevention for Healthcare is an interactive, research-based continuing education activity designed to strengthen healthcare professionals’ ability to recognize, respond to, and help prevent domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Developed by Happy People Games, Inc., the program provides practical education for clinical and non-clinical professionals working in hospitals, clinics, social services, and community health settings.

Through short, scenario-driven modules, interactive challenges, and evidence-informed learning strategies, participants will explore common signs of domestic violence, trauma-informed communication techniques, and appropriate approaches to supporting patients and colleagues experiencing abuse. The activity addresses foundational safety planning, referrals to community resources, patient confidentiality, documentation, and mandated reporting considerations.

By incorporating realistic scenarios and opportunities for active learning, the program helps participants build confidence in recognizing potential abuse, engaging in sensitive conversations, and responding appropriately within their professional roles. The activity emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical prevention strategies to promote safer healthcare environments and improve support for individuals affected by domestic violence.

How Pinnacle Supported Happy People Games Through Joint Providership

Learn at Pinnacle partnered with Happy People Games, Inc. to provide continuing education accreditation for Level Set® Domestic Violence Prevention for Healthcare, an interactive, research-based educational program designed to help healthcare professionals recognize and respond to domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Through its joint providership model, Pinnacle supported the accreditation process, including educational planning, content review, faculty disclosures, conflict-of-interest management, and alignment with accreditation standards.
