Dr. Jae M. Grymes is pediatric dentist and dentist anesthesiologist who is dedicated to making dental experiences safer and more comfortable for children. A Washington, D.C. native, her journey in dentistry has taken her across the country. She earned her DDS from the University of Maryland before heading to Los Angeles for a General Practice Residency. With a passion for both pediatrics and anesthesiology, she went on to complete a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry in Colorado and a three-year residency in Dental Anesthesiology in New York. She is board-certified in both specialties by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Jae stays actively involved in organized dentistry and serves as a faculty member for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s Oral Sedation Course. She loves mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and giving back through volunteer work, including her involvement with the Miracle Messages organization.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Jae is passionate about health and wellness—whether it's running, focusing on mental well-being, or sipping a perfectly made matcha latte. She shares her insights through two Substack newsletters: Kids' Dental Digest, a resource for parents navigating their child’s dental health and It Is Well, where she explores personal growth, resilience, and finding joy in everyday moments as a recovering perfectionist. When she’s not writing or working, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, book in hand, or riding her Peloton.
