Meet the Host

lora Shahine, md

Lora Shahine, MD, FACOG is a double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and OB-GYN at Pacific NW Fertility in Seattle. With nearly 20 years of experience, she is nationally recognized for her expertise in infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and for her compassionate, evidence-based approach to care.

Dr. Shahine completed her REI fellowship at Stanford University, her OB-GYN residency at UCSF, and earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington and has practiced at Pacific NW Fertility since 2009.

A prolific researcher and author, Dr. Shahine has published more than 75 peer-reviewed papers and written several patient-centered fertility books, including the best-selling Not Broken. Her work has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the BBC.

She hosts the award-winning Brave and Curious podcast and creates widely viewed educational content on reproductive health. Dr. Shahine is also active in professional leadership and advocacy, serving in roles with ASRM and multiple nonprofit organizations focused on expanding access to fertility care.
