The Preventing Nearsightedness In Kids Program
About the Preventing Nearsightedness in Kids Program
Unlike traditional "wait and see" approaches, this self-paced program equips families with practical tools and lifestyle modifications that can be implemented immediately to slow vision deterioration.
Participants learn about non-surgical treatment options, daily routine modifications, and how to have informed discussions with their child's eye care provider about myopia management techniques.
Dr. Wong combines her clinical expertise from managing thousands of pediatric patients with real-world parenting experience, creating content that is both scientifically rigorous and practically applicable.
The course transforms anxious parents feeling helpless about their child's worsening vision into confident advocates equipped with research-backed strategies. By completion, participants understand how to preserve their child's vision, implement daily changes to decrease nearsightedness progression, and effectively collaborate with eye care professionals.
For healthcare professionals, this resource represents a valuable tool for patient education and family engagement, offering a structured way to extend myopia management beyond the clinical setting into the home environment where lasting behavioral changes occur.
