Unchartd Leadership
About Unchartd Leadership
Unchartd Leadership was founded by Dr. Marsha Kucera, a family physician, leader, and coach who believes that meaningful leadership development happens through experience—not lectures. After years of attending traditional leadership programs that offered information but little lasting transformation, she envisioned a different approach: one that combines reflection, movement, and authentic connection to help leaders grow with purpose and confidence.
Drawing on her experience in clinical practice, healthcare leadership, and executive coaching, Dr. Kucera created Unchartd Leadership to support women physicians and healthcare leaders navigating the unique challenges of leadership, burnout, and career growth. Her work is grounded in the belief that the strongest leaders are those who are deeply connected to themselves, their values, and the people they serve.
Through immersive experiences and practical coaching, Unchartd Leadership creates space for women in medicine to step away from the demands of daily practice, gain fresh perspective, and develop the clarity and resilience needed to lead authentically. By fostering meaningful conversations, personal reflection, and supportive community, Dr. Kucera empowers healthcare professionals to lead beyond boundaries—both in their careers and in their lives.
About Navigate Retreat
Navigate Retreat is an immersive, accredited leadership experience designed for women in medicine who are ready to step beyond traditional models of professional development. Set along the Ligurian coast of Italy, this six-day program brings together a small group of physician leaders for experiential coaching, reflection, and community in motion.
Unlike conventional continuing education delivered in classrooms or conference settings, this activity is intentionally built outside the conference room. Learning unfolds while hiking coastal trails, sharing meals, and navigating new environments—creating space for insight, clarity, and perspective to emerge through lived experience rather than passive instruction.
Throughout the program, participants engage in guided coaching conversations woven into daily movement and connection, supporting deeper self-awareness, leadership growth, and renewed alignment with purpose. The format is designed to reduce cognitive overload and decision fatigue, allowing participants to focus fully on reflection, connection, and personal leadership development.
By integrating experiential learning with structured coaching and peer dialogue, this activity offers healthcare professionals a rare opportunity to step back from the pace of clinical and administrative demands and return with renewed clarity, resilience, and leadership capacity. It is a distinctive model of continuing education that supports not only professional growth, but sustainable, values-driven leadership in medicine.
