About the HypoPARAthyroidism Association
The HypoPARAthyroidism Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by hypoparathyroidism through education, advocacy, research, and community. Its story began in 1994 when founder James Sanders, a father of five sons living with the rare condition, recognized how isolating it could be for patients and families to navigate the disease without access to information or connection. What began as a simple newsletter has grown into a global community serving thousands of members across more than 70 countries.
Today, the Association brings patients, families, healthcare professionals, physicians, and researchers together to advance understanding of hypoparathyroidism and improve care. Through clinical resources, research information, patient support, and opportunities for collaboration, it helps healthcare professionals—including women across medicine—stay informed and better equipped to support individuals living with this rare condition.
About the International HypoPARA Conference 2026
The International HypoPARA Conference 2026 is a three-day educational experience bringing together healthcare professionals, patients, families, researchers, and industry leaders to advance understanding of hypoparathyroidism and improve patient care. Offered both in person and virtually, the conference creates a unique space where clinical expertise and lived experience come together.
Healthcare professionals will explore current and emerging topics including genetics, cognitive function, pediatric care, clinical guidelines, genetic testing, treatment advances, and calcium monitoring. Expert-led presentations and physician panels provide practical insights while encouraging meaningful dialogue across the healthcare and patient communities.
By connecting multidisciplinary education with the perspectives of people directly affected by hypoparathyroidism, the conference helps healthcare professionals deepen their knowledge, stay informed about an evolving field, and strengthen the care they provide to patients living with this rare condition.
How Pinnacle Supported the HypoPARAthyroidism Association Through Joint Providership
Learn at Pinnacle partnered with the HypoPARAthyroidism Association through joint providership to support accredited continuing education for the International HypoPARA Conference 2026.
