About Casualty Consultant, LLC

Casualty Consultant, LLC was founded by Ruby J. Long to support women physicians navigating the cumulative pressures of leadership, caregiving, clinical decision-making, and systemic inequities within healthcare. Rooted in the belief that rest alone is not enough, the organization focuses on restoring capacity, dignity, clarity, and sustainable leadership presence for women in medicine.

Drawing from more than two decades of experience in emergency medicine, leadership development, and restorative justice work, Dr. Long created Casualty Consultant as a trauma-informed, human-centered space where physicians can reconnect with purpose, resilience, and professional sustainability. Her work is deeply shaped by her upbringing in Gary, Indiana, where she learned the importance of community, equity, and collective care—values that continue to guide her mission today.

Through coaching, leadership development, restorative practices, and advocacy, Casualty Consultant serves women physicians seeking a healthier and more sustainable way to lead, practice medicine, and care for themselves while continuing to care for others.

About Curated Restoration Immersion

Curated Restoration Leadership Immersion is a two-day accredited leadership experience designed to support women physicians navigating the growing tension between professional success and long-term sustainability. Through guided reflection, strategic discussion, and evidence-informed leadership frameworks, the immersion helps participants recognize patterns of endurance-based leadership while developing practical strategies to protect clarity, capacity, and sustainable influence within demanding healthcare environments.

What makes this activity especially impactful is its intentionally small, reflective format designed specifically for women physicians carrying significant clinical, emotional, and leadership responsibilities. Participants are given dedicated space to step away from the pace of daily practice, examine how leadership demands are affecting their well-being, and thoughtfully redesign their approach to leadership with greater sustainability and alignment.

Grounded in Dr. Ruby Long’s Sustainable Authority framework, the immersion combines leadership development with restorative practices to address the often-overlooked impact of cumulative stress, decision fatigue, and professional overload. Learners leave with practical tools, increased self-awareness, and a personalized vision for leadership that supports both professional effectiveness and long-term personal sustainability.
