Brooke is an award-winning news reporter with CBS News Texas and the Vice President of Coaching and Storytelling for Shelly Slater Strategies.
In the news world, she covers crime, politics, health, education, human interest stories, and more. Her passion for writing and storytelling also led her to Shelly Slater Strategies, where she provides coaching in the art of public speaking and executive presentation training. She has more than 20 years of experience, working for television news affiliates in upstate New York, San Antonio, Denver, and Dallas. Brooke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and a Master of Science degree from Columbia Journalism School.
She lives in Dallas with her husband and two sons.
